New Year Updates

At the start of each year, we like to acknowledge employees who received promotions, new employees that joined the team in 2013, our interns and seasonal help for the 2014 “busy season.” We appreciate the efforts of all of our team members.

PROMOTIONS

Ryan Finberg CPA, Aaron Smith CPA, and Mark Branson CPA were promoted to managers. Ryan and Aaron have worked in our St. Cloud office for 6 years. Both work in the tax and accounting services department. Mark has worked in our Monticello office for 6 years in the tax and accounting services department.

IN-CHARGE ACCOUNTANTS

Tim Beyl CPA, Jon Latcham CPA and Krista Rainer ABA were all promoted to In- Charge Accountant. Tim and Jon interned with Schlenner Wenner & Co. and have been with the firm for 2 years in our St. Cloud Office. Krista is also in our St. Cloud office and has been with us for over a year.

STAFF ACCOUNTANT

Ashley Posterick has been promoted to Staff Accountant. Ashley has been working in our Little Falls office for almost 8 years     

NEW HIRES

Brian Skluzacek, CPA started in our St. Cloud Office in August as an In-Charge Accountant. Brian graduated from St. John’s University and worked for two years in the Twin Cities.

Travis Notch joined Schlenner Wenner & Co. in May. Travis worked for the firm as an intern and also as an Admin Assistant before starting as a Staff Accountant in May.

Dan Wainright joined our team in the Monticello office. He graduated from St. Cloud State University and joined us in June. Dan has seven years of experience in the trucking industry.

Lori Eveslage joined the firm in June as a HR Generalist. Lori graduated with an AAS in Medical Administrative Support and worked at Central Minnesota Mental health Center for 9 years. Lori recently had a baby in October.

John Marschel, CPA joined us as an In-Charge Accountant in July. John graduated from St. John’s University and previously worked for a firm in St. Cloud for four years. John and his wife had their first child this summer.

Athena Swenson interned with us last tax season and joined the firm as a Staff Accountant in April. Athena graduated from St. Cloud State University in December of 2012.

Courtney Schneider also interned with last tax season. She graduated from St. Cloud State University this past summer and started full time us in fall.

Bev Oehrlien joined Schlenner Wenner & Co. as our Director of Internal Accounting and Human resources. Bev worked in industry for the last several years as an accounting manager.

Stephanie Hennen joined our firm in December as a Paraprofessional in our St. Cloud Office. She graduated from St. Cloud Technical College in May.

Jesse Edelbrock recently joined our firm. Jesse graduated from St. Cloud State Technical College in May and will be working as a Staff Accountant.

Terese Fehn joined Schlenner Wenner & Co. in December after working in the industry for a year. Terese is a St. Cloud State graduate. 

 

INTERNS

Each year Schlenner Wenner & Co. utilizes interns during the tax season. It is a great program for everyone. The interns receive an opportunity to test the waters in their chosen career and the firm has an opportunity to look for future employees. Our interns come from a variety of colleges.

St. Cloud interns from St Cloud State University include Alexander Metzger, Chad Mueller, Jacob Wickman, Kathleen Schulz, Qian Wang and Suxiang  Liu.  Monticello interns include Olya Apakova from the University of Minnesota and Kari Zabinski from the University of Minnesota- Duluth.

 

SEASONAL ADMINISTRATIVE  STAFF

Each year during our busy season we have additional staff in our administrative area- they help process financial statements and all types of tax returns.

Seasonal administrative staff in St. Cloud include Amanda Young and Katelyn Butkowski. Angelo Laho will be helping us in the Monticello office. Denise Swearingen will be helping us in Maple Lake and Trese Willenbring will be working in our Albany office.
