Our History

Over the last 45 years, Schlenner Wenner & Co. has grown from one owner and one assistant to the present size of 11 partners; 40 professional staff, including 28 CPA's; and 9 support and administrative personnel.  Our growth has been carefully planned and is expected to continue, giving us a promising future 

• 1964     Richard Kerber founded the Firm as a sole proprietorship

• 1979     Jim Schlenner and Mike Wenner joined the Firm; became Partners in 1985

• 1985     The Firm becomes a partnership

• 1986     A branch office opens in Avon, Minnesota

• 1987     The Firm moves into an office at 37 North 28th Avenue, St. Cloud, Minnesota

• 1987     Bob Hengel joined the Firm; became Partner in 1990

• 1988     Steve Schueller joined the Firm; became Partner in 1998

• 1989     Office opens in Albany, MN

• 1993     Molly Thompson joined the Firm; became Partner in 1998

• 1996     Office opens in Little Falls, MN

• 1997     Pat Plamann joined the Firm; became Partner in 2007

• 1998       Bill Buckentine joined the Firm; became Partner in 2009

• 2000       Brian Mackinac joined the Firm; became Partner in 2009

• 2001       Cory Ritter joined the Firm; became Partner in 2009

• 2003     The Firm joined the RSM McGladrey Network

• 2005     James & Gruber merged;  Al Garber became Partner

• 2007     Brian Bastian joined the Firm as Partner

• 2008     The St. Cloud office moves to 630 Roosevelt Rd. Ste. 201, St. Cloud, Minnesota
