We are officially over the hill! With the start of 2014, Schlenner Wenner & Co. turned 50 years old. Time really flies! It is amazing to think that when Schlenner Wenner & Co. first started in 1964, it was just the owner and one assistant. Fast forward 50 years, we have 10 partners and 58 professional staff in five locations.
Over these 50 years, we have found our place in the community, and it only makes sense that we find a great way to celebrate our years in business. That is why we started the “50 Years of Service, $50,000 to Charity” initiative. Over the course of 2014, it is our goal to raise $50,000 to donate to local charities! This is a great chance for us to give back to the community and have fun while doing so.
Throughout the year we will have a variety of activities to reach this goal of raising $50,000. In fact, we have already started. We have “jeans day” for our employees on Wednesdays in recognition of various charities and we have been keeping fundraising thermometers and contribution jars in each of the offices. We have already raised thousands of dollars, but the fun is just getting started! There is a whole host of events planned for community members and our clients this year. We will even be hosting a silent auction and entertainment, with more events to be announced soon. </p>
Keep your eyes and schedules open as we announce upcoming events. They are sure to be fun for the whole family! In the meantime, our employees will continue to contribute and get us that much closer to our goal!
