In October, Schlenner Wenner participated in the United Way Week of Action. Every day, we had a different activity and prizes for our team and raised money for a great cause.
We began our United Way Week of Action with an introduction and video presented by Theresa Farrell. The game of the day was a “Punch-A-Bunch” game for employees with lots of prizes. Our partners also participated in “Partner Penny Wars for Pennywise”. The partner with the most money collected by 2 PM on Friday dressed as the clown for a photo.
Tuesday’s activities continued with a Halloween potluck, bingo, and costume drawing. There was lots of fun, lots of money raised, and lots of great prizes.
On Wednesday, our associates played Scary Movie Quotes/Wheel of Fortune. We had movie theater popcorn and candy as treats. Everyone on the winning team received a movie-themed gift bag as a prize.
The game of the day on Thursday was $100,000 Pyramid. Employees paired up with a partner to give clues and guess the answer based on the descriptions and categories. The winning team was Allison and Missy; they each received a $10 grocery gift card!
We wrapped up a great United Way Week of Action with our “Partner Penny Wars for Pennywise” Reveal Party! The partner with the most money collected in the jar throughout the week dressed as “Pennywise the Dancing Clown”. Partner Jon Archer won the honor! Overall we raised $132.44 for the United Way of Central Minnesota from the penny wars.
At Schelnner Wenner, we value community involvement. The United Way Week of Action was a great way for us to bond as a team and give back to our community. We had a lot of fun!
